Dixon lake is operated by the City of Escondido.
It's a man-made reservoir at the top of a steep drive,
and associated with the Daley Ranch Preserve.
Mallard Lake and the various ponds on Daley Ranch have their own pages.
The lake is surrounded by a trail, and a nice campground is on the SW side.
They allow fishing, and rent boats.
We could see Dixon from the Daley Ranch Diamondback trail.
