A few weeks after convincing myself that I had
"nailed down" all the lakes in the county,
naturally I discovered another one.
Meadowlark Reservoir is what I'm talking about.
You can't swim or fish in it, but it has lots of clear water
(up to 2 million gallons),
(up to 2 million gallons),
is open to the sky, and actively used for storage.
You'd never expect to find this sort of thing
at the top of a mountain, with a beautiful ocean view.
at the top of a mountain, with a beautiful ocean view.
Here's the dam side.
And here a look at the shallow end,
the obligatory stay out sign,
and some beautiful flowers
around the sides.
That makes it a bonafide reservoir and lake,
at least by my definition.
